Miss Jess has been dancing since the 8 of age in a vast variety of genres. Throughout this time Jess studied along-side many Dance Professionals.
In 2013 Jess was accepted into both of Adelaide's Full-Time Dance Courses and successfully completed her Certificate IV in Dance. She is also studying a Bachelor of Sport. Health and Physical Activity at Flinders University. This allows inside knowledge of injury prevention, exercise programming and performance analysis as well as placement with SA Sport Professionals. Kirra has been dancing for over 20 years and has experience in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet, & hiphop in heels.
Her love of dance combined with her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy Specialisation) allows her to create fun and engaging lesson plans that follow safe dance practice and injury prevention.
Kirra has a passion for making dance accessible to everyone and has completed her Graduate Certificate of Disability Studies. This accreditation assists her in facilitating community dance classes that ensure anyone can come to class and experience the benefits of dance and self expression.
Since 2018, Kirra has taught solos, duos, & groups of all ages at a recreational and competitive level at LUMINOUS.
Kirra strives for her students to have a strong technical background but also prioritises confidence building, working as a team, and creative expression.

Miss Jazzy

Jazzy has been dancing since she was 4 years old and immediately took an interest in performing on the big stage. In 2021 she completed her Cert III in Dance and has experience in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, ballet, musical theatre and drama.
LUMINOUS has had the privilege of teaching Jazzy since 2019, and she continues to be a strong senior dancer in our Platinum Program in 2023. She is always the first to raise her hand and has written and performed in multiple school plays and community events. She is excited to announce she has been accepted into the NxtGen Project Full Theatre Program for 2023, where she will continue to develop her talents. Jazzy has experience competing in solos, duos, and troupes and understands what it takes to be a great leader and supportive teammate.
For the last few years, Jazzy has excelled as an assistant teacher and proven she is worthy of teaching her own classes in 2023. We are thrilled to bring her on board our faculty team. She will be teaching on Monday nights in Strathalbyn Studio 1 with Miss Kirra assisting her transition into this new role.

MISS CAITLIN
Strathalbyn & Victor Harbor
Miss Caitlin was born in the UK and trained in ballet syllabus BBO from aged 3, earning herself a BBO scholarship when she was 11. After moving to Australia, she continued her classical training with RAD syllabus up until her Advanced 2 in Adelaide. She briefly moved to Melbourne to finish her schooling and trained fulltime for 2 years in commercial dance, classical and musical theatre to professional level.
Alongside her training, Caitlin enjoyed dance teaching as a freelancer through various schools. Caitlin has since returned to Adelaide with a Bachelor of Creative Arts: Drama, her Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management and is currently studying to be an Exercise Physiologist alongside working as a secretary for a physiotherapy clinic. She has been back teaching on the Fleurieu Coast for the past year and has also enjoyed freelancing as a summer school guest at other Adelaide dance schools in the holidays. Miss Caitlin's primary focus is ballet technique and jazz classes. In her freetime she enjoys exploring SA, going for scenic walks and finding new cafes with family and friends. |
Miss Ally
Victor Harbor
Miss Ally has been a dance teacher for twenty years. Working with school dance programs and then in studios, Miss Ally has taught many different genres of dance, including Latin and Ballroom and pre school ballet, but mainly specialises in Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theatre with foundational ballet training.
Miss Ally has featured in many theatre productions including Beauty and The Beast (Footlight Geelong), The Sound of Music (Centrestage, Geelong) and Chicago (South Coast Choral and Art Society, Victor Harbor) where she played the lead role of Roxie Hart. She is currently in rehearsals for Gypsy (SCCAS), onstage in October 2023. Although originally from Adelaide, Miss Ally has lived and taught dance in the ACT, Melbourne, Brisbane and Geelong and has a passion for all things performing arts. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary), turning her attention to the classroom environment and working part time as a Student Support Officer in Noarlunga. |
Miss Olivia
Victor Harbor
Miss Olivia has always been interested in dancing and the connection it brings. She began dancing at four years old and has become experienced in numerous styles of dance: ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre.
Whilst currently completing Year 12, Miss Olivia has completed Stage 2 Dance in Year 11 and looks forward to admission into a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Dance in the near future. Miss Olivia has previously finished placement with ACArts in Year 10 and more recently with GUTS Dance Company, located in Alice Springs. Through these experiences, Miss Olivia found her passion for Contemporary dance and choreography and furthermore, her enthusiasm for teaching the next generation. Miss Olivia's experience with assisting dance classes and working along side well-renowned teachers has not only given her the experience to teach and choreograph, but the desire to achieve the same professional recognition. |
Miss lucy
Meadows
Lucy has been dancing for the last 13 years and has trained ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary.
After completing school in 2020, Lucy received a Certificate 4 in Dance Teaching and Management through the Australian Company of Performing Arts (ACPA) in 2021. In 2022 Lucy began full time dance study at the Adelaide College of the Arts where she received a Certificate 4 in Dance and is now preparing to go into second year working towards an Advanced Diploma in Elite Performance and a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Dance.
As well as dance, Lucy has a great passion for musical theatre and has performed in many amateur productions most recently starring in Adelaide Youth Theatre’s West Side Story as Conseula. Whilst pursuing her own career in dance, Lucy loves to pass on her knowledge to the next generation through her teaching and cannot wait for what is in store this year with Luminous!
